Our Mission

In practice, that means facilitating dialogue between community partners, the research and evaluation sector, and the health and social services network in Eastern Quebec. We support joint initiatives including action-research projects, program and policy evaluations, knowledge sharing, and training. All of this work is aimed at building a deeper understanding of what English-speaking Quebecers need from their health and social services, and helping the people who deliver those services respond more effectively.

We step in where it matters most: when services aren’t fully accessible, when organizations want to better serve their communities, or when accessibility needs to be embedded in a more structured and sustainable way.

Our role is to guide, advise, and connect. We work closely with healthcare organizations, researchers, and community partners to develop practical solutions rooted in the real needs and experiences of the communities we serve.

We don’t believe in solutions that look good on paper but fall apart in practice. Our approach is pragmatic and evidence-based, built around what actually works in real-world settings. That means listening before recommending, collaborating before prescribing, and making sure that every initiative we support is concrete, realistic, and lasting.

CE-ACESS doesn’t work in isolation. We act as a bridge between research, institutions, and communities, facilitating the kind of cross-sector collaboration that leads to meaningful, sustained improvements in access to care. Whether we’re supporting a research project, helping an organization rethink how it delivers services, or connecting stakeholders who haven’t yet been in the same room together, the goal is always the same: better, more equitable access for English-speaking Quebecers.
